Her debut was in 1988 with Sh #333 nen Ninja Kumari, in the Newtype supplement Comic Genki published by Kadokawa Shoten. She became best known however for two long running manga versions of Kyokutei Bakin s epic 19th century novel Nans #333 Satomi Hakkenden. The first, titled just Hakkenden, is a s aight adaptation the second, Blind Game, is a retelling set in the near future. Also durable is her Kigai Karte series, a collection of different stories, began in 1994 and still ongoing as of April 2006, in the magazine Wings published by Shinshokan. None of Aomata s manga are available anslated into English. However, one of her earlier works, Fight!, was adapted as a single episode
